ART at Auto Shanghai 2025:  “ready to offer integrated and customized solutions in an ever more connected market”

ART participated for the first time in one of the largest events in the automotive innovation sector: the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Now in its 21st edition, the event has established itself as the most influential automotive trade fair in Asia and, indeed, one of the most important globally. This in a world that now recognizes China as the center of gravity of the global automotive industry.  

 

ART Product Marketing Manager Federico Doricchi was present at the fair, and we asked him to tell us about the inspiration and innovations that this experience brought with it. 

“The 2025 Auto Shanghai was a unique opportunity to present the SDK software and the innovative Fast Prototyping process “Made in ART”. Once immersed in this technological melting pot, we sought to understand the latest trends in the Chinese automotive market, and beyond, as it is now the dominant market worldwide”. 

 

What new trends have emerged and what innovations impressed you the most? 

“Undoubtedly, the most widespread trend is to offer increasingly sophisticated features for users, with a dual focus on safety and autonomous driving. All the vehicles we saw in production are equipped with at least ‘L2’ systems, i.e. autonomous driving systems that can only perform certain driving tasks, but work is underway to make them increasingly usable and functional, so as to achieve even higher levels, at least L3, and move closer towards a model where the vehicle will only require certain inputs from the driver. 

We also saw a strong focus on entertainment content, but also a fusion between the functional domain and the safety domain. For example, some proposals presented truly realistic HMIs with 3D content that seek to combine data from maps and radar to bring together user safety and entertainment in a single package, but in an increasingly appealing and accessible way”. 

 

What are the strong points of ART products in an increasingly cutting-edge context? 

“Today, all vehicles are connected, which promotes the development of features as well as their evolution over time. By participating in the Shanghai Auto Show, we had the chance to witness groundbreaking technological advances that motivate us more than ever to continue our journey of innovation in the automotive sector and beyond. 

ART has long recognized the importance of integrated and connected systems, developing products that aim not only to support the development of increasingly user-friendly and realistic graphic interfaces, but also software products that allow content to be quickly integrated into a digital cockpit”.
